UCI E-MTB World Cup Monaco

With a good feeling from Brazil, I went to Monaco for the first E-XCO race of the season. The race in Monaco was even more special for me because I got to travel to a race for the first time with my new #JRRacing teammate, Eric Lüthi. However, the double weekend started with a bit of a damper, as I broke my chain at the start of the main race and was unable to finish.

After the failed first race day, I had all my energy for the second race day. After a great qualification I got the 3th place and thus the first World Cup podium of the season. Eric also showed a good performance, he was in 4th place until the last lap, but he had a defect in the last lap and had to give up this position. Too bad!

I'm very happy that it was enough for the first World Cup podium of the season, but I also have to mention that I didn't had the best legs and there is still a lot of work ahead of me to compete for the victory in the next races. Nevertheless, I take this result as motivation and will continue to work on my form. Another motivation was the great performance of Eric at his first eBike race, I'm already looking forward to the next races with him and I'm convinced that I have chosen the right rider.
