UCI E-XCO World Championships Les Gets

After a 5th place in 2020 and a 4th place in 2021, I really wanted to win a medal this year.

On one of the best E-XCO tracks and in the midst of the cheering French fans, I fought for the World Championship title. The atmosphere was just great and I was able to break away relatively quickly with two French riders and deliver a thrilling duel. In the end, this exciting duel went better for the two Frenchmen, but I was able to cross the finish line in 3rd place and celebrate my first World Championship medal. WOW!

With some distance to my race I can say that physically and in the technical climbs I was definitely the best rider. Only in the fast and slippery descents in the bike park I lost valuable seconds. I have to work on that a bit more so that I can fight for the top spot on the podium next year.

Slowly I realized what I have achieved and it feels great to have finally won a medal at a World Championship. The feeling is just incredible! Thanks to ALL who supported me on this way and believed in me during the last years.
