UCI E-XCO World Cup Barcelona

Everything was still open for the E-XCO overall World Cup at the last race in Barcelona, but I should have won this race clearly in front of my biggest competitor Jérome Gilloux. I tried not to let this put me under pressure, but the goal was already to finish the last race of the season with a World Cup victory.

I was very motivated at the start, but I soon realized that I had to force myself extremely to focus on the race and the technical track. Accordingly, I also made many mistakes and lost my good position already in the second corner, with a stupid shifting error. For two laps I had to fight my way back to the front from far behind, but even there I lacked the necessary focus and had to fight to finish the race in second place after all with my poor driving. Fortunately this worked out and I could end the season with another World Cup podium. This year I was on the podium in 8 out of 9 World Cup races and twice I even took the World Cup victory.
