UCI MTB World Cup Nove Mesto
Despite my crash last weekend in Albstadt, I didn't want to miss the race in Nove Mesto. For me, the course there is one of the best ever. At this point I also have to thank my physio, he made it possible that I could stand at the start with practically no pain. Thank you Tom!
Although I felt great and had a lot of pressure on the pedal, I had to realize again that in the World Cup races you need the perfect day and also a lot of race luck to finish in the World Cup points with bib number 137. In Nove Mesto this unfortunately didn't work out and I had to settle for the disappointing 86th place.
After the race I was very disappointed, because I definitely have bigger ambitions for the World Cup races. For me, it's now a matter of gathering energy again and attacking fully in the next races. For me another E-XCO World Cup is now on the program and then an exciting block with three Swiss Championships in a row. First XCC (Short Race), then XCO and finally Enduro.
